Is Optum turning a profit on the business they’re winning? Margins are super tight and revenue projections are overly optimistic on a lot of the contracts I’m seeing.

Not trying to be a naysayer but I think layoffs are probable.

Honestly, no. UHG and Optum don’t seem to be winning new business so the only way to keep the shareholders happy is to keep cutting costs.

We really need a single payer system. At this point job loss in healthcare seems inevitable so we should just bite the bullet and undergo that painful transition. At least we’d have healthcare.

No it will continue through 2022 and started in May 2019. UHC was hit hard today. G9 to the UnitedHealth Group threads. It very bad. Next RIF will be in March and Optum will be hit hard.
