Misconduct

With the current focus in the media it will be interesting to see how many women (and maybe men) are courageous enough to come forward about misconduct against them by Aflac's executive leadership. I've personally witnessed it happening to others, and I've also been a victim of it at the hands of 2 VPs. And there have been rumors for years about the CEO and President and all of their extra curricular activities. Sadly, all the execs (including the women execs) have always been aware of it...but have ignored it, or found other reasons to fire or demote the victims. Let's hope that #forbes and #ethisphere take note. It is a joke that Aflac is lauded as ethical and one of the best places to work. The company is full of predators who behave as though they are above the law.

Even if someone is still afraid to speak up (Columbus is a small town and it's not easy finding another job), I hope people will join me here and expose the truth about #aflac and it's #cultureofabuse

I'm a reporter with The Wall Street Journal. If anyone has stories to share about misconduct at Aflac, I'd be very interested to hear them. You can email me at nicole.friedman@wsj.com.

Possible many of these scenarios don't actually rise to the level of abuse or definition of harassment. But I believe completely, as I have witnessed, that many inappropriate relationships are started throughout the company (as with most companies). What is disgusting is that when these relationships come to light, it is always the lower level employee who is shunned, demoted or otherwise punished just to minimize potential scandal. More often it's the male in the exec position and the female in the lower level job. However, I believe the same would happen if a female exec entered into such relationship. Officers do not act with integrity. They are only interested in themselves, no matter the cost to others.

I'm waiting. Don't jump on a #MeToo bandwagon with a mask on and think you don't have to prove it. Allegations like this need to see the light of day, as every time it happens now it is because of your lack ok responsibility to report. It's in YOUR hands now.

All I am seeing are posts about why you cannot come forward with excuses. There are other mediums not associated with the higher realm of Aflac. Either take the mask off and expose said people, or have seat. Anonymously posting on this site is not going to do anything. So until you are willing to step to the light and bring what are atrocious acts out, it's nothing more than FAKE NEWS.

TW is the biggest joke at #aflac. Her form of mentoring other women is shameful. I certainly pity the young girls at Girls Inc. and pray that they don't follow in TWs footsteps. TW supports and fosters the company's dysfunctional cultural which has been devastating to so many women. I have personally witnessed her instructing an employee to cover for an incompetent officer. Even worse, TW was aware of the abuse the officer subjected the employees to, but she chose to ignore it and support the incompetent and dysfunctional officer. She had ZERO concern for how people were treated, and HR followed suit and ignored the MANY valid complaints that were filed.

And yes, TW chose to target a female that the CEOs son was having an affair with. So TW was ok with the P2's behavior (which has continued throughout his career), but she fired the female.

TW was also responsible for the compliance officer who used his position to manipulate young women who reported to him. TW was aware of the abuse, and she simply demoted and displaced THE WOMEN to other departments while letting the compliance officer maintain his position in the company.

And it is no secret how TW practically worships the CEO, who paraded his adulterous affair with one of his employees. It is clear that TW supports the abusers, and punishes the victims. Wow, what a great female mentor she is. It smacks of the same hypocrisy as Hillary supporting her husband's abuse and crucifying his victims.

Not fake news. It's #therealaflacculture

#AflacSalesForce is as morally corrupt as they come. If you aren't willing to engage in "extracurricular activities" you won't make it in sales at #aflac (for females). The sales leadership is devastatingly harassing, and attending conferences with the sales team is extremely unsettling. Women have to literally have bodyguards (in the form of friends who are willing to stay close at all times) in order to make sure that men don't force themselves into your hotel room. The Amos's are willing to overlook bad behavior for the sake of sales. But, yeah, everyone just got big bonuses...so who really cares about all the misconduct.

Not fake news. Two different compliance officers have done it with many witnesses. It was ignored by HR. The victims were demoted or displaced. TerWh. fired a victim of the CEO's son. The CEO is married to a former employee who he engaged in an extramarital affair with. But it's ok because bonuses just came out right?

#metoo

The victims at Aflac are more often the ones demoted or blackballed while the predator is protected. Not fake news @QuUJjqJ-1hmo. The original post is so true...and those of who need our jobs don't have the luxury of removing the mask because the culture protects the abusers.

You say you've witnessed and have been a victim, but you are here anonymously? Fake news. Either remove the mask of excuses, or move on.

Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the LORD, And whose deeds are done in a dark place, And they say, "Who sees us?" or "Who knows us?"
