Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Is January mass layoffs rumor true?

Can anyone confirm? People claim 10% headcount reduction and offshoring.

Layoffs will happen in March once those remote workers refuse to return to the office. It’s a cost-effective way to eliminate head-count without any sepration packages.

There is zero scrambling right now by upper management = no layoffs in January. There is not enough time. The most likely time is always in the months surrounding end of fiscal.

Can someone confirm if it was announced that 5 days is required in office or is it still just 4? And what happens to those who are fully remote?

Nothing was announced at the AHM, but the numbers are still not in Qualcomm's favor. The CA's threat, however, was new to me. It seems like CA is hoping that the five-day office policy will encourage people to leave voluntarily, avoiding the need for layoffs.
