This is coming from a former employee of WFM that decided to leave the company (on good terms) months ago. I'm seeing a lot of complaining about their situations. You can't change WFM, just let them crash and burn. As for you, the employee, you need to figure a way out and complaining isn't going to do anything. Let's face it, leadership jumps on here and laughs and you guys are providing content with your online bickering. Do yourself a favor and do something to get yourself out of the situation you are in. I can't decide what that thing is for you. We all know how miserable it is to work there so why not find a way out. Hopefully that helps.

This is a forum for team members to discuss the horror that is Whole Paycheck. We simply don't have another outlet at this time. It's important to get the truth out there. Reach out with any questions or concerns. #wholefoodsmarket #teamWFM
@1nor, where else will management go to hear any criticism at all about how they borrowed a billion dollars to hand out free stock options to themselves and their regional loser execs (and other VIPs)? A billion dollars!!! The fact that people are still taking to this board to vent about this horrible outfit and its dubious practices and laughable PR should tell you something: The WORKERS aren't the problem. What a putz. If you're looking for mediocrity, try the executive suite.
But where else will mediocre team members go that will give them a dollar raise each year for doing the bare minimum?
This is excellent advice. I got sick of hearing myself complain, and though I'm still with the company, over the past month I've been actively interviewing elsewhere (I'm looking to get out of retail, and thankfully the economy where I live offers many more opportunities relative to just a few years ago, thankfully). I do genuinely like my immediate coworkers, and my job itself, but the fear laden environment coupled with blatant nepotism finally reached a critical mass for me. I'd recommend that all the competent, well intentioned people who remain consider doing the same (assuming they're equally repulsed) before the mindless asskissers and wannabe detective "leaders" completely tarnish what's left of the wfm brand.
