@3hpk Edwardsville is DONE. They posted their demise on FB. IDK if Willow Street has much presence so iffy whether or not they'll also make a mention they're closing (which they are, denial by whoever you're calling notwithstanding)

Almost everyone was calling Marathon FL as closing Last Week, but almost everyone has run away from that call now. I'm sure glad that list man dude, whoever he is, is very judicious about removing stores, and he did NOT remove any of the ones in doubt yet. I haven't seen his lists lately, maybe he is waiting to verify those stores first? Time will Tell.

@2ysx Contractors in the Philippines. Do you think they care about the company to give a correct answer or otherwise have been informed of the latest closings?

@2shr - I was simply passing along the information I was given. I dont need the sarcastic reply. Nowhere did I say that they weren’t closing, in fact that’s why I mentioned Willow Street stopped those services. I posted that the LIVE CHAT said they were not closing, not me. Use YOUR brain.

@2yud - They are representatives from Sears. Im using the resources given to check if the stores are closing. If you have a better way of figuring it out why don’t you go ahead and let us know.

Hmmm. I just called Willow St. and Edwardsville (Tuesday 2/2) and was told there are no closing plans.

This is a copy of my list I posted in a thread a few days ago. I called all the Kmarts right after some closings were posted. Willow Street, Kingston, and Marathon said they were closing but when I recalled those stores the next day, they said they weren't closing as far as they knew.

When did you call them? I tried on Mon., repeatedly, but nobody answered in either one (I think they were closed due to Snow Storm in PA). I called Days before, and they would not confirm the closure. So could you mention when you called when they confirmed the closing? I can try them again on Tues., because since there is no link yet, I need to hear it for myself before I contact local media and edit Wikipedia. Also, any word on Marathon FL, or Rio Piedras PR? Someone mentioned both those Kmarts were closing. Marathon Said they were not closing when I called, and I didn't call Rio Piedras, because frankly, I don't Know Spanish.

When lottery is abandoned at a Kmart store, it is a sure sign they are going to close.

This isn't the "final" anything LOL. You did not confirm Marathon, Willow St, Kingston by phone. Because when I call, they are not closing. You didn't include Valley Stream and Mayaguez Sears. Weak list. Do research first.

I don't know anything about Dulles, but Valley Stream NY has "store closing" jobs posted at jobs.sears.com, and a news site in Puerto Rico has reported that the Mayaguez store is closing.

Of course, I'm going to call stores. That's an excellent way of finding out if a store is closing or not. In fact, I'm glad I DID call because people here prematurely removed Kingston, Marathon from their lists without verifying. When I called they claim they are not closing, so that's why I have not removed them yet. Upon verification, then I will.

Please stop calling the stores like mad men. You are not guaranteed an accurate answer. I agree, I don't think Marathon is in this round but it could be near.

Hi all I stopped in at the Marathon key Kmart on my way down to key west. looks like they are closing . store is half empty . dirty . half the light are out . it needs to close.

I'm sorry but this is not accurate. I called Marathon, Kingston, and Willow Street. They claim they are not closing. Please call them now for yourself, you can easily google their numbers.

So these are NOT verified by phone. Someone else mentioned Rio Piedras Kmart was closing, but again, there is no evidence to that either.
