You are not paying attention to the EUC market if you don't think Cloud Software Group, Tom Krause and Vista wouldn't buy VMW EUC and either absorb them into Citrix or alongside as a pillar, to reduce choice in the industry to then raise renewals. Customers will have nowhere to migrate. Microsoft? LOL Easy money.
Citrix is the buyer
You are troll, bet you not even a VMware employee, otherwise you would have known, that would be a massive hurdle for SEC to approve any such deal.
BTW, if you are indeed an employee, guess what bucket you should fall under....
This is my first job after the college. real life lesson learned about the dark side of Corp America. EUC management is dead.
The current EUC BU leadership team is unlikely to be retained by the Private Equity acquirers, so Shankar Iyer and Rob Ruelas are not reliable sources of info.
Agreed, this PE deal is taking longer than expected, due to the BU P&L audit. Be patient.
Spin-off soon
I didn’t said that EUC won’t be a Broadcom company.
I said that EUC won’t be a under BSG (Broadcom Software Group). This group is under Broadcom directly and own Symantec for example.
ATM we don’t even know if VMWARE will still legally exist under Broadcom (Acquisition) nor if Broadcom will eat VMWARE directly (fusion).
So there is 3 scenario for EUC:
- under VMware directly
- under BSG (most likely not)
- under Broadcom directly (for futur sell?)
So I think that EUC will become Airwatch again but with a better portfolio (Workspace One / Horizon / MTD)
Wondering, how is that achieved, somebody got to foot the bill to pay off Broadcom, otherwise it will be a Broadcom company. may not be under VMW's thumb, but will still be Broadcom company.
Now if somebody is footing the bill, different story. ... Just hope it is not a PE like it was for Citrix.
Rob ruelas said calm down. We have an amazing opportunity & access to funds. No one will be let go unless you are in a supporting role to EUC BU which obv we have no control.
If executive staff (VP & above) is let go then the severance is close to 2 yr of pay. Pretty solid to cover smooth transition and pay kids tuition plus renew country club membership.

Development sprint for EUC is focused on cutting any dependencies w/ VMware.
So even if it hasn’t been officialised I believe that EUC will be spun off soon.
From what I’ve seen, EUC will not be under VM has independant BU nor under Broadcom Software.

No one in EUC got offer from Broadcom yet.
Very nervous.
Citrix is the buyer
Heard there might be a buyer not a spin-off
i’ve heard it may not be until the 30th. The spin-off rumors seem to be going harder
this is clearly rolling out in blocks by parts of the business... they will get to EUC eventually
Yes, quiet and isolated +1

EUC engineer in US. Feel isolated.
