Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Maybe Aimee Cardwell wasn’t the problem after all?

Mostly kidding. Regardless, Sandeep’s replacement for her doesn’t seem to be exactly knocking it out of the park either. Great hire, little fella! 😂

@1rzo there were plenty of over 40 DEI male hires also. Happens all the time.

She was having an affair with one of her directs. She has zero previous security experience and drove all remaining strong security operators out of UHG.

The CHG CISO took the position and she was fired. A CISO life is never easy… but the politics and disfunction is crippling.

Aimee was a people leader not a security leader.. but it wasn’t her downfall. Allegedly it was her desires for direct reports.

Aimee was a DEI plant. Nothing more. No real understanding of the bigger picture in Cybersecurity and every conversation I ever had with her only showed her incompetence.

Aimee seemed to make a point of resisting spending cuts or budget constraints on EIS. I can't imagine she and Sandeep saw eye to eye on the budget, as he definitely views it as a generic cost center.

Pretty sure she up and left on her own. It seemed very random.

What was the reason for whacking her anyway? Who is the replacement I can't keep track with how fast they come and go
