Ocho Cinco sounds like a big dummy to me

Actually smart. Another reason to get off work. For example, that "twig is my way," it's a climbing hazard.

“So the correct procedure for that scenario is for the technician to schedule Patriot to come out and clean the manhole properly. If the technician knowingly pumps the water out to the street he will be subject to termination and fined thousands of dollars.”

Does the company provide water test strips for lead testing? NO!

Does the company provide prints to inform what manholes have lead cases? NO!

Is it possible to determine if there is a lead case in a manhole without pumping it?
Likely not unless the water is chlorinated like pool water and you can see to the bottom of the ho-e. In which case you still couldn’t pump the ho-e.

Is it the responsibility of the technician to call a pump truck service to get the water out of the ho-e? NO! That’s a management responsibility since it’s comes out of a department budget, since engineering is in competent and incapable of providing the information or budgeting for it on each job as needed.

Does the final responsibility lye with the company regarding it liability for lead cases? Yes!
Verizon told all employees they were not to open, work on, around or near lead cases. Any and all lead cases should be contracted out to be replaced to avoid an employee being exposed to it. Frontier has no such policies or any policies regarding encounters with lead cases or cable.

Has anybody ever called the EPA to tell them how many lead cables are in the ground and manholes? And that every time a manhole is pumped out the lead tainted water just goes in the gutters/drains/rivers/creeks/bays? That wouldn’t make a very good ESG score.

Most states sending all management to California to work orders and troubleshooting. Good luck to most of them never worked in the field like the Gte and Verizon management. Heard another state waiting for there extension to expire and thinking about walking out. 18 months without contract

"I wonder if there will ever be a audit of the federal disaster dollars taken for the California fires and flooding in Houston area."

Might as track the CAF spending too; I'm sure that would also bring up some interesting discrepancies.

Let’s not forget that a lot of the upper management is still employed from the Verizon days. That same upper management is still employed even after the poor execution from the Connecticut rollout and Florida roll out. How anyone in upper management still has a job (and promoted) is a sure fire sign of the ineptness of the new ceo. I wonder if there will ever be a audit of the federal disaster dollars taken for the California fires and flooding in Houston area. Would be an interesting paper trail with the 87,000 new agents.

And there they are picketing! For what? Why? Union misleading (BSing) its members again? There they are cattle/sheep being led to sl------r. Feel bad for a few employees that only have 10-15 years

This company has lied its shareholders, the fed, the state of California, the employees and its customers since taking over the Verizon footprint. They are nothing more than a ponzi scheme taking money from the fed in order to prop themselves up long enough to find a buyer that doesn’t know better. I truly feel sorry for the employees that were suckered into accepting the sh-t show that is Frontier by the company and the UNION. If I recall the union convinced the membership to vote in favor of the acquisition of Verizon asserts by Frontier. They also further, tried to convince the membership to vote for this last contract saying it was a “great deal”. The union has conned the membership as bad or worse than the company has. You think those members want to stay working for that sh-t show of a company. I would bet if the company offered them $20k just to leave they’d have at 3/4s of the people take it. Of course, the union would never allow that since their handouts via membership dues would be decimated.

Let's not forget the reason FTR is where it is, is because of the last executives running it to bankrupcy then taking 86 million with them!

ftr REFUSES to hand out over time or backfill

per FTR: “Like most companies, we’re using contractors to fill a gap as we actively recruit new talent in a tight labor market,” the company said. “Other factors have also pushed us to engage more contractors than normal, like weather-related repair issues, meeting PUC service requirements and employees not willing to meet overtime requirements.”

What a load of bull. FTR refuses to backfill any vacated positions and is only hiring management positions every time I look on the careers site. In contract negotiations one of the main concerns CWA has is hiring and contractor overutilization; FTR refuses to even DISCUSS either. Oh, and regarding PUC service requirements, FTR is pushing all the PUC trouble tickets out at least 5 days thru dispatch so they can prioritize service orders. This place fu----g cracks me up more and more every day...
