Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

RTO, seriously how is this going to work?

If every Tom, Di-k and Harry turn up on Monday to their closest office, where will they park, where will they sit?

I know my closest office cannot sustain everyone, and I know several others won't either.

They could have at least got this all ready for the RTO rush, instead it just shows BS's incompetence and shows him up for not knowing his business, what an absolute shambles.

I find the 5-day RTO mandate laughable. There are no offices and customers aren't going to let you camp out walking their halls 5 days a week either. So, everyone is just going to carry on business as usual.

They will just lay people off until they can fit everyone in the office

Don't forget they moved from that big Manchester office to a dingy orange building.

In the UK the two largest offices (Bracknell and Brentford) were closed down and the sites sold. They replaced them with smaller rented offices - so I doubt if everyone will have a desk - or a parking space.

It has to be purely to make life so painful that people leave. There is literally no other reason this makes sense.

The US leadership like Bill and John are shave drivers. In addition they need to get their head out of their rear. The world doesn't work like US. And you can't just give people 3 days notice to change their lives. Bunch of re--rds when they have no answer to why sales is down, the advice rto. Soon they will monitor hours worked and call recordings.RTO will only ki-l morale further

The UK offices don't have the seats.

Several countries in EMEA haven't even implemented RTO 1.0 and opt'd in or out of Hybrid.

In the US some states don't have a damn office!

I think there is something else driving this, it'll make sense in 6-12 months, many of us won't be here to care anymore.
