Anyone would care to chime in with a prediction about potential CenturyLink Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

Lets go Lumen. Lets go Lumen. Lets go Lumen.
No layoffs, but they are now firing people for their Link to Success BS, fired someone in my crew on Friday, im not far behind, despicable company
Anyone who didn't see these layoffs coming is a DA.
Lumen is layoff and replacing us with contractors. We're all doomed.
we're glad you dont work here anymore too
Well they just announce they are off-loading 25% of the company so that means 10,000 jobs. some will find employment at Apollo or Stonepeak. but there is no end in site. Revenues decline every single quarter. The only way to make earnings look good is thru layoffs. glad I don't work there anymore.
Guess they needed a place to park ctl so they could slice and dice it to pieces.
The local is gone.
F-K Lumen!!!
66 outside techs in phoenix end of june with 28 more at end of august
Found out last week that Lumen will be reducing head count by 12 on the service technicians by end of July in south Florida local 199.
Lumen is corrupt. The government needs to look at the unethical cr-p they are pulling on the customers as well. They are pulling a bait and switch price on services. They sell you an outrageous unachievable speed via the internet, then increase the costs to lower the speed to a truly achievable speed when the technician gets to your house because they claim its not the same price or speed as the internet sales deal. $49.00 a month is a lure not the real price. So they sc--w the customer for more money any way they can.
The local Corporation Commissions need to get more aggressive by stopping the company lawyer lies. The company pays big money lawyers to lie to the Commission. They have been cheating the customers for years. They actually have program (ASSIA) that lowers a customers speed to avoid the customers modem from dropping service to avoid a truck roll. They do not lower the bill but they will lower your speed and do not tell you. And if they roll a repair they cancel the first one so the customer is forced to call back in for second or third try. . They have lied to everyone, they do not fix the plant. They put new lids on 60 year old bad copper wires. And they have the ba--s to cut employees and they cannot fix what they got now. It all comes from the very top, CEO.

i just got involantarly forced out very hard to get a hold of hr and pay roll
just got let go with 21years in st paul contracters still doing my job half the pay where is our union
This company is run by sick disgusting people! It wasn't until today that I realized I can't be here anymore and now I'm hoping and praying for the layoff to go through!
SRO told us last week "Big News" coming before end of month in PA & NJ and we aren't going to like it, but wouldn't give any details. Hinted whatever it is has something to do with headcount and the fiber side. I just don't see how they can possibly get rid of any more techs. Granted, there is little work, but someone has to do what there is left.
Anyone heard of " Big news coming this week "
Absolutely Horrible company to work for, after 22 years I'm gone in July I wish I could get my hands on the higher ups who are doing this pos company!
Bad company to work for. Gets away with many things. Crooked company. Gives Martin Luther king a paid holiday and cuts elsewhere removing Good Friday pay. CEO and upper management deserve to be fired. Greedy monkeys. Hope company gets brought our and ceo gets fired.
Word right from ACT is, union areas need to get rid of all contractors before laying off company employees, so they can bring ACT contractors in. ACT being trained to do fiber and installs right now. Common knowledge within ACT. Ask one of their guys when you see them. The other poster is correct.
are these all union positions? any company positions being eliminated?
I predict you are going to see a bunch of contractors from ACT doing all the fiber work real soon. Let's see if I am right.
27 in Ohio to be cut May 26th ! What a dumpster fire!
8 guys got it in northern Indianan on Friday 5 out plant 3 co
Anyone know how many SEs caught it on the April 9th cut?
They just laid off 2 outside plant techs in north/east Indianapolis area. One office tech left early separation in January.
I wish nothing but ill will to all the upper management of Lumen, CenturyLink!!!! F them!
Was recently told in the king county area that once they release all the contractors they have working, plus the 22 people in my area, that they're going to start going after everyone on any form of discipline, including people on written warnings of dismissal. Seems like they really wanna thin the heard.
I've been laid off. Unless something changes, my last day will be July 6. Coincidentally, I've been thinking about leaving for almost a year now.
Lumen Management can't think their way out of an open phone booth. Level 3 management came in, took control, and the stock plummeted. It has hovered around $10USD a share for years. Now it is at $13.00USD a share. That says it all.
Any layoffs in Monroe, recently?
If I knew and saw who is responsible for it I would take one for the team and beat the c––p of of him!
Americans need to check these companies ki—g jobs so CEO’s can make millions Americans should cancel these companies so stick holders loose everything like there doing to us workers who make them rich ,but apparently no one is mad enough to do anything about it so we will all just keep loosing everything
Boise area just got word we have layoffs coming. At least 16.
More people being forced out in stpaul
They should look at the management and how tge managers don’t even know the job so how can the Technician do there jobs. Fire the entire management team first...
In Washington pierce county Seattle are they laid off there last air pressure guy well in 90days he is gone we all need to revolt teach them a lesson they are literally stealing our living there has to be consequences
The word in Minnesota. Lumen/ctl cant pay thier payment to the bank. On my side, Lumen/ctl is laying off of 20 on the mpls side. We have 11 that will be taking the buyout. Management is making it so miserable. Techs who are safe have thier resumes into other opportunity. They rather take a cut in pay then work for Lumen/ctl. Luman/ctl told cwi's, supvs will be controlling digs. Sending them back to the load. Lumen/ctl will determine which phone lines to fix. Already lost customers to comcast. Mpls used to have 8 air pressure techs. Last year they were down to 2 techs. As april 1, mpls has 1 air pressure tech. He has 14 wire centers. Cable techs are told to travel the whole metro. We have 1hr 40 min to a job when we start in Buffalo and our next job is Stillwater. It takes 2hrs to travel to Stillwater. When there are 3 jobs due that day in Buffalo. Luman/ctl are setting us up to fail our Link for Success. So they can write us up. After failing numbers 3 times. Lumen/ctl can fire you. It so miserable in St.Paul/Mpls.
What’s the best way to make the stock plummet I assume get the word out everyone in every state put up signs tell everyone is a good idea if it makes the news it will work nothing wrong with fighting for your livelihood people don’t go quietly into the night u take a giant flash light and blind them
