This week 7 close colleagues of mine were laid off, all of them are engineers. I can only imagine how many were affected company wide. I used to think this was a great company to work for, but it's evolved into a toxic mess. Some other colleagues I've spoken to are already applying to other jobs in fear of what's to come. The lack of transparency and honesty by leadership is driving this company in the wrong direction.

I just got laid off last friday beware if you have a sudden 1 on 1 scheduled with upper management, it most likely means you are gone. I was cool with the manager and he told me he had these meetings literally all day so I am guessing a lot of people are getting laid off. Really sad and unfortunate to hear, no one at my team knew and they were all asking me about updates for work and I just replied with I got laid off going focus on job searching right now. They were all very understanding but had no idea what was going on. I dont particularly blame anyone, my whole experience at CDK was a huge mess I got hired right before the acquisition and my entire team quit the day I started working. I have been bouncing around between teams ever since then. I would tell people looking for jobs to shy away from CDK, the code base is super annoying, a ton of legacy stuff, they work in an industry that is getting hammered by the economy and overall leadership is all over the place. Find something better!
Don’t even get me started and asking about it as it paints you as a target for the next round.
Ever since this CEO came back transparency has been lies!
Every thing positive said is the complete and utter opposite.
“We are done with lay offs”
Meanwhile he’s been planning to outsource half the company for 2 years while going private so he can hide it.
“We are doing good now”
