Comm has been sitting at 0.8-0.9…
Q1 results next week… probably no good news there…
Layoffs? Shutdown ? Bankruptcy ?
No one seems to be in panic mode …
No one longer cares ?

They think the sense of pride working for CommScope badge hasn't fallen off yet? Nobody goes to work for free. The big guys want the little guys to believe they should work extra time for free. If you wouldn't do it yourselves, don't expect anyone else to. Besides that, we are not the same but believe in what is fair.
Oh they have spent the money but not in the right places and on the important things. There is no innovation there and as you say, people not seeing further than one quarter to the next is same as not being able to see any further than their nose. There is no 1, 2 or 3 year plan, a 5 year plan or beyond. Without vision, there is no future.
When you hand sometimes a younger generation the funds, where they've not earned it and understood how they have come to reach that pot of money in the first place, it becomes oh so easy to spend. CommScope have dithered over many things, spent recklessly and now paying the price.
getting worse by the day.
Now At stage they want employees to work extra time for free.
No right to disconnect outside of working hours. Absolutely no respect been shown to employees by managers .
They want as many to walk as possible
Oh they're in panic mode but about the trivial things. I don't know how people can just continue working there without a care in the world. The worst could happen where employees end up not getting paid. It is a genuine concern but many seem to sugar coat what is the truth.

Well, that was a matter of survival , but smart CEO's took the opportunity to rebalance portfolios, invest in adjacent growth markets, and invest in people. For years I've watched CommScope and its glacial, minor improvements to its products. At the same time I've been a huge space afficiando (since I was a kid in the 60's & 70's). I've watched the emergence of SpaceX as a company. The MANY risks it took, it's willingness to "Bet it All", and it's transparency to the world to show all the many times they've failed along their path. Today they are the predominant launch vendor beating out Roscomos, ESA, and our own internal companies like Boeing and Northrup.
SpaceX has a vision, a long term plan, and goals set out at the 1, 3, 5, 10, and 20 year marks. They are not responding to the market, they are building the market. While I was at CommScope I wished we had leadership that was capable of spending the money, taking the risks, and looking beyond what the next quarterly statements were going to show.
Unfortunately, there's not a hint of vision or ambition in the Senior Leadership's Team there at CommScope. This is why they are failing so grandly.
Some big I am's wanting to take the credit if all is well, or have someone to blame when all goes wrong. Sounds about right though as leadership are clueless. Wouldn't trust them to run a bath! That's even if they may as well go and do that.
Witnessed first hand , VPs asking directors what to do, then regurgitating the directors answer, without any understanding of the matter.
Workers are in a sad emotional state of despair and hopelessness.
Hr is useless as usual!
Agree with last post.top heavy with managers ,vps who do very little.
Missing the people on the ground who are gone and not replaced.
No raising of this sunken ship!!
It's one debacle after another.
Well, there just isn't any inclination of a strategy. The words 'growth', 'and' returning markets' mean nothing if there is no strategy. It seems the CEO, CFO are afraid of getting out of their comfort zone and reaching out to individuals who have been through this before to seek advice, experience, and lessons learned. No, they will ask those at the same level in the business (VPs, SVPs) who are also complicit about the state of the current business. A sort of circular self destruction pattern. For some of us old enough to have been through the 'dot com' burst,. Well, that was a matter of survival , but smart CEO's took the opportunity to rebalance portfolios, invest in adjacent growth markets, and invest in people. "Waiting" is just not an option, as historically, markets (segments) never rebounded to their previous highs. The friends I still have left at CS can help, they have the necessary skills and if motivated and allowed to contribute their years of experience, then maybe there is a chance. While the culture of "Talent Suppression" exists and the folly that a lot of high ranking individuals in CS are somewhat confusing their titles with their ability to execute, unfortunately, nothing will change.
