EUC spinoff - when?

The rumor mill would have us believe that EUC will be spun off. Does this same rumor mill have any insight as to when this will happen? Obviously cant be before the sale closes but does it think it will happen immediately? IE, EUC will never be part of BC, or will it be sold off after the sale closes?

My prediction is that EUC will be spun off right after the sale. In closed door meetings that were recreantly had with certain customers, there were mentions of BC having no interest in investing in EUC going forward. My guess is that they already have a VC company lined up to sell EUC to... it may sound crazy to some but a "merger" with Citrix may be where this is going to end up.

Can't see it being spun off personally. (not at start anyway). Carbon Black, yes!

It may be classed as its own s/w area within BC and if not profitable, then yes. I was always under the impression Horizon and WS1 was profitable and sold well! Most accounts have a EUC element.

@1pbd+1naRw3pg not as much anymore. Titan got rid of the need for vSphere

A spin off of EUC would be interesting to watch, because they have comingled products and required knowledge that is not part of EUC.

If, for example, you were a commercial & recreational boat maker with a single entity producing proprietary boat hulls used by both, it would be hard to spin off the recreational boat maker without some major forethought and work.

Think Symantec and CA were 3m and 6m so guess it will take a bit of time to settle the acquisition first
