Because I make 6-figures as a BI adjuster

Companies don't care about you, they never will. I have seen several of my coworkers go to other companies with most going to Progressive and Geico. They have realized that it is just as bad there as it is at Allstate. A few came back last month and with the band adjustments are making more than they did before at Allstate and at the other companies.
If you want to make more money you need to jump from one company and then to another on a regular basis.
Vendors and contractors know we are the worst and cheapest too
Agents even use other companies.
Decent pay, great PTO, and maybe a package when it all comes tumbling down.
Most of the old timers are just waiting for the next round of layoffs. Most companies prefer younger workers who are fresh to be abused. They are innocent and haven’t lived through the corporate bs so they are prime picking for the next company. However, if you’re over 40, north of 55, you better stay until you can either 1. Get that other job, which is not likely due to your age, or 2. You get that layoff with severance.
In my experience, most companies don't care about you. So, swap your hours for dollars until a better paying opportunity comes along.
Because of the money. As long as I keep making more each year it fine. I let allstate "rent 40 hours a week"
I moved over to progressive. End of year bonuses plus I’m making $7k more in claims with 5 years experience. I was putting off leaning Allstate over the past year hoping they’d hire more adjusters here but the work life balance is still awful so I had to leave .
It’s like a bad marriage where financially it makes sense to stay together even when you don’t like each other anymore.
lube
Why do that to yourself with so many available jobs at much better companies?
