GF has gone so low in reputation that I feel ashamed telling anyone that I work in GF.
This is not good for me and my mental health and am sure most of my peers are in same mode. Trying my best to get out of this he-l.

So you should be. Just go compare the qualifications and experience of the senior leadership team of GF with a similar list fromTSMC or Intel and you’d feel even more ashamed of being led by this bunch of imbeciles
GF became victim of poor management that supported incompetency and prioritized lickers, connections, thinking alike, language , race over talent. GF will be good case study for management students on why companies go to junk state so fast.
While I understand what you are trying to say - I think it’s you whose priorities need realignment. You should be able to take pride in your work place. Taking pride in work not only creates happy productive workers but also an overall healthier more productive work environment.
With the beliefs stated in your post you should go work in a sweatshop. Or just hang in there with Globalfoundries and hope you dont get laid off - because with all the people leaving, and the extremely high attrition rate - Globalfoundries trending trajectory is that of becomubg a modern day sweatshop.
If your self-esteem is tied up in the corporation where you're a peon worker bee, your priorities in life need a reset. At the end of the day, it's just a job, and you should have a life outside of it.
People in the industry know about GF. A quick read through Glassdoor, Indeed and Comparably will be more than enough for those not familiar with the company to get a feel for it. I will tell anyone willing to listen what it’s really like working at GF.
Fake News. When I mention that I work for GF people ask, where? I guarantee you that 99% of the people out of your bubble have never heard of us and those that have are shocked to know we have manufacturing in New York, US of A, because what foundry would be insane enough to operate in the oh so tax friendly Empire State? Now if you explain that we used to be the division that made chips for AMD, then a few lightbulbs might go on, but only a few.
Same here. No more pride being in GF. Real he-l.
