Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

Is the reorg done? Why still many group managers still have one to four reports?

SVP being converted to IC with no real assignment to do just got promoted to director last week. What is happening in Citi?

Regarding qualifications don’t matter- despite this being called out in the 2020 Consent Order by OCC & Fed.
Look at the global wide ‘skills assessment’ underway currently for each employee- no mention of qualifications held.
Also, qualifications were not a selection criteria for layoffs/ ignored there too. That is one reason employees who were more highly qualified and specialised in their field, were let go while less qualified people were retained and even promoted.
These are facts.

@1nsw+1sJSwHez Did you read my comment? I don’t think you did. I clearly said education doesn’t matter at Citi. You must be one of those SVPs with a high school diploma.

Having a master's degree does not make a person more fit to perform than having a HS diploma. That's the dream you were sold to have you invest 90K+ to still need practical education.

I know one SVP and three VPs who only have high school diplomas. I got laid off and I have a masters so I don’t think education matters at Citi.

Post ID: @yqo+1sJSwHez: No way, why would they do that :D Spending more money on the same people... Plus, no one can jump from Associate to Director, skipping VP.

You may see some AVPs and VPs will be promoted to Directors, in coming weeks as per their skill and education qualifications.
