Thread regarding GlobalFoundries layoffs

Leaving GF finally !!!

Leaving due to office politics.

Even if you are very talented, internal politics can be one of the factors that might holds you back. Office politics can prevent you from your career growth.

@1nqg Rumour is that people are also wondering if they will be in the same job 1 year or 2 from now, or if someone overseas will be holding their job

You will be happier once you leave. I’ve been gone over 2 months now and my life and happiness have improved greatly. I can guarantee at this very moment the people who are on the 1st of a 4 day rotation are miserable and complaining. Their short staffed. They are wondering if/when raise will happen. They are wondering if raises will be better than 2% (it won’t) They are wondering if their teams will be backfilled ( they won’t) They are wondering if AME managers will begin to listen and provide the support needed to perform their jobs. (They won’t). They are wondering if they will ever be truly happy at GF (They won’t)

Racism , incompetence and a-s licking criteria is very evident in recent promotions. Way to go GF!

Logical and merit based career growth and advancement does not exist at Globalfoundries. Especially Malta. There are some insane examples and cases that just get overlooked as business as usual. We have been acclimated to it so much now we thinks it’s normal.
