Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

If you want to know where Michael gets his ideas from

Look no further than the friends he keeps. He wants you to be in the office working but on his Friday he can hang out with Elon and look round a Tesla factory (https://twitter.com/MichaelDell)

Remember that these billionaires dont care about you, your family or how moving to nearer an office would turn your life upside down. They dont care how hard you work remotely. You are a number that needs to fit into their way of doing things.

Has he sent an email to the company explaining why he's changed his mind on remote work? No. Has any senior leader told him this policy change is wrong? A likely no. Does the company want to hear from employees, keeping comments open on internal posts? No.

Billionaires dont think or care about the average employee. Remember that you are there to make him richer, nothing else. And if hes hanging out with Elon, these policies are going to get tougher.

People still think Musk does real work? That guy is the grifter of the century. Has no skills and does no work to the point where past companies had to pay him to leave. He’s a sad little man who posts garbage on Twitter all day (no one is ever going to call it X) while running his companies into the ground. Can’t believe anyone is still d-mb enough to fall for his act.

Yea.. so someone is paying people to vote down on most of the true statements here. Dell HR is pathetic.

"Musk is the same"

LoL at casually dismissing Musk.
The guy actually runs multiple companies from Tesla to SpaceX to Twitter(X) to name just a few.

Please list what YOU have done. We will wait.

MSD assembled PCs from components already on the market. I give him credit but that's not all that innovative. Dell purchased other companies. Again good for Dell but there has never been much innovation. Just found ways to make it cheaper and lower quality used the cash to buy tech others invented. Musk is the same. Good business guys who continue to buy up the innovation of others. It's Walmart of tech. Not a bad thing just not much innovation from the founders. The engineers and worker bee make them rich.

MD has never once talked about RTO since the very beginning after JC pushed this bull***t last year. Anyone else pick up on that?

To me that screams that this is all JC's idea and MD is letting him run with it for God knows why.

I cant wait until 90% of the company chooses remote, then what are they gonna do?

FYI....there are employees that are legally blind who have no choice but to be remote since they cant drive to an office. But they want to still say that people can be withheld from promotions, etc....if they dont go in. This is just one example of how this braindead and unthought process has potential suit written all over it.

Quite the reach there trying to blame this on Elon Musk.

Elon will allow tens of millions of people worldwide to go on his company site and talk badly about him on the daily.

MD won't even open the company forum to comments about RTO.

Yes. Michael Dell is a passive aggressive narcissist. Plain and simple.

They all hide behind social media. People deal with them because they have money. Nobody actually respects them.
