Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

I love working at Boeing

all in all, its been a great company and provided for me even in these harsh times. Going to stay there for the long haul, and work hard to keep doing the best job I can for them.

Cmon - that link about GBSD references a story that is a year old. Why the hell would anyone post something like that now? It makes me think that the majority of posters here have never worked for Boeing & are clueless about the company or business in general (not saying that Boeing is good or bad - just that lots of folks here don't have a clue).

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. —
Boeing is asking the Air Force to compel Northrop Grumman to include Boeing
it its bid for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent program to design
the nation’s future intercontinental ballistic missile system.

Immediately after notifying the Air Force it would not bid, Boeing went to
Northrop with a proposal to join forces and submit a proposal with Northrop
as the prime and Boeing as a principal subcontractor.

“We talked to them immediately after we sent our no-bid letter in July.
They considered it for about a month and then told us ‘no thanks,’”
McCall said.

What an Absolute POS company Boeing has turned into

Don't thank Boeing for your good fortune. Thank you parents who believe in nepotism!!! Tell your parent(s) to stop laying us off like we don't matter.

Obviously you haven't been there long enough to have the daily beat downs take effect.

Are you a new hire or something?
I remember being fresh out of college; bright eyed and big dreams.
Thought working hard burning the night oil mattered.
You keep that up, and that's all management expects of you, and they get real hot and bothered when you eventually burn out.
Give it a few years, they'll beat that optimism out of you.
