Thread regarding MetLife Inc. layoffs

Did you do your strategy training yet?

It was a dronefest in 200 Park this week. Are other offices better?

Copilot and Metlife's "AI Strategy" should be a whole 'nother thread.

Everyone sees the advantages of Copilot. But upper IT management want to control who gets it. They insist on endless survey to try to bask in the glory of work the rest of the world (OpenAI, Anthropic, Microsoft) did. Sickening.

Maybe they sense it might take their power away. Maybe it's about the monthly subscription fee. I don't know.

Anyone with insight on Met's "AI Strategy", please post what the blank is going on. Thanks.

And the stoopid AVPs that do have the co pilot license, have no qualms about bragging about how they F around with it. Not using it for work, because news flash, it is well known that AVPs do not do any actual work! Money well spent, Met! Sums up the strategy, perfectly. Shareholders, be #MetLifeProud.

Thought it funny they featured Copilot in one of those videos when they have zero plans to give licenses to everyone. Thanks for showing me an app I can't use!

Honestly, I couldn't even recite the buzzwords back to you. Very unremarkable. Too bad Met spent millions to create a message that conflicts 180 degrees with the lazy and complacent culture that exists throughout the company. Met refuses to dump the trash. Maybe it's just a facade for the Board and Shareholders, while the execs line their pockets until they no longer can. Given my 2% raise and less than 100% AVIP, that's the same level of exertion I am giving to the Next Frontier. Reap what you sow, MFers.

Haven't had mine yet. Not looking forward to it.

Where does this stuff come from - McKinsey?

I get the feeling that ML is living on its reputation milking the cash cow for another 5 year plan, but long term is ki-ling the golden goose. I've heard dentist hate our dental plan. No matter. When it turns, the current management crop will have collected their bonuses and left the company.
