Thread regarding Sears layoffs

SB360 page

SB360 page claims "select Sears and Kmarts" are closing, yet only lists the 7 that we Knew about from 2020. Could this mean there are more to come soon? Here's hoping for some big closing lists in 2021! Hopefully all of them!

Multiple up/down votes is a violation of the boards terms of use. Mods should do a better job stopping this.

33 people downvoted that 'Teg' comment in the span of an hour?

Someone's touchscreen must be wearing out by now.

Somebody has too much time on their hands to spend all their time artificially inflating upvotes and downvotes on these posts....as if it really matters in the grand scheme of things.

Anyone still employed by Sears should have seen this coming already and have their resume polished up and ready to go

Ya I find a lot of joy in this obsolete company closing and always will. I have not made a single excuse, nor do I plan to. I celebrate each closing, an always will. I make zero apologies for it. This dumb company was obsolete 20 Years ago, and they are way beyond obsolete now. I don't cry about typewriter manufacturing jobs that were lost when computers came out, or VCR manufacturing jobs when DVD's came out, and I am not going to cry about loss of obsolete Sears closing, when there are far better modern alternatives. Sears is as relevant as he hula-hoop in 2021. They are Last Century. LMAO.
And I own my business so I control my own destiny, thanks.

Making excuses in an attempt to justify loss of jobs simply because they are part time jobs does not change the fact that someone finds humor or joy over the misfortune of others.

Karma has a way of rearing its ugly head when one least expects it.

Cry more. These aren't livelihoods. They are Part-Time jobs for high school and college kids. I hope they all close NOW. Eddie's only failure is taking too long to shut this obsolete monstrosity down. They are as relevant now as typewriters and VCR's.

Indeed there are some sick people with no compassion. A disappointment in humanity.

"Here's hoping for some big closing lists for 2021....hopefully all of them"...

Typical of someone who finds pleasure in other's misfortunes.

More employees losing their jobs and livelihoods.

Eddie's failures are affecting people's lives.

I emailed sb360 and asked them if they could list all their closing stores including the latest 5 (and final) Seritage ones on their page. They obliged. Of course we already were aware of these but it's nice to have all 12 (the old 7 plus the latest 5) all listed together in 1 page for easy viewing (as a poster below mentioned). Going forward, this would probably be the best1-stop link to see all closings in 1 place:

They added Big Bear Lake, CA and the four Puerto Rico stores to this list. Hopefully more to come.

They now have all the closing stores listed here including the recently added Seritage Kmarts and Sears. Of course, we already heard about these but they are all listed in 1 place now:

This is exciting. Waiting for a new list is like looking under Christmas Tree, on Christmas Morning. You simply don't Know what you'll get but it's always something good. Here's waiting for the next one! May it be nice and extensive! Thanks Ron..

God forbid how some people manage to live their day to day lives with this obsession over these lists.

SB site made no mention of potential Kmarts before. This is the first I am reading the name Kmart on that page. Possibly a harbinger of things to come.......but you're right, the site itself, is old news.

Sounds like a bathroom metaphor. The SB site has said that for a long while now. Old news.
