Has anybody heard of any changes coming to AST in the new year?

@1lzf+1jFAuM7N The answer is, no. They don't. We have an MBA though that owns it and they hate being on the salesfloor helping colleagues with AYS conflicts.

Soooo I’m an AST and ASTs are not manager. Come and ask me to change your schedule, cancel your PTO, or leaving early I’m going to tell you to ask a manager. I can’t make that decision for them. We got blamed for everything and we worked like a dog. Just because you see us sitting at our desk and not on the floor running doesn’t mean we are under pressure and stressed out.

My job got cut in Spring but because we don’t layoff people so I get to stay but still suck and then people just complain that we are not helpful when we tell them it’s your responsibility to take care of it yourself. Go on Insite and check timecard and you’ll see you missed a clocking. Don’t come over and said “YOU didn’t pay me” I don’t pay no one I don’t own this dam company. Gosh take your own responsibility!

It depends on the AST in your store. In my store, there is only one who is nice and helpful and will always help you. The others are always like ask your manager.

If they cut the AST position, good luck in running a store. Cash office, hiring, onboarding, colleague help with pretty much anything HR related, I could go on and on.

Do ASTs really do AYS? seems like a total waste.
