Broadcom is a mess, but a lot of good stuff can happen in a mess. Accountability is way down during all this chaos. With so many problems with the new system, it's easy for difficult problems to be shuffled around, delayed, or just plain ignored.

I have to admit I'm working less than I ever have, and I'm caring less than I ever have.

Broadcom has a shut up and work mentality, so I have. I usually do my work to the minimum standard. No one notices the times I don't.

So I'm staying. This is easy street. I don't stress like I used to, because it's a shlitzshow, and it doesn't pay to care, and no one else cares either. So I just drift along, getting the paycheck. And on Monday, getting the next rounds of RSUs.

No one cares, and I've reached that point myself. After months of struggle, I've reached that point myself.

If I was near the end of my career, I would rest and vest, not caring. But, unfortunately, as a type-A personality with a work ethic, this is very depressing for me. As a creative, money does not drive me. I am nowhere close to retirement, and so I must bail. Golden handcuffs be damned.

layoffs are coming... you may want to collect RSU, Hock says no.. it is unfortunate that many will not be able to cash the RSU check. Lets wait and see if this is true but so far , Hock has stuck to the old playbook.

HT seems to be trolling Germany all the way and back again.

You guys couldn’t even opt out by yourself, unlike most others. So far the great and strict German laws do not seem to be on the side of the employees.

At least you get RSUs. There are countries like Germany where they offered good severance to wrong people and for sure they took it and left. Those who stay are still under old contracts. No RSUs in sight

HT took the Private Equity leader mindset to the extreme. Profit matters, people don't.

That's why as a member of the VMware EUC team I'm not staying with our new KKR owners. The whole mercenary mindset and culture of these organizations make employees miserable. Life's too short to be exposed to toxic companies.

No, it's opposite. They gave huge rsu for staff 2 and above and keep laying off junior engineers.

Clearly they don’t as demonstrated by the talentless managers he keeps around. Yet they get paid millions. It must make Hock feel like he has acquired a real company, when in fact he purchased a paper tiger.
