Anyone know the reasoning behind the EMT going back on their word regarding the hybrid schedule? Such a trustworthy, purplish bunch.

Big Brother is everywhere at Crown. A friend of mine here at CC got the axe because he posted something political on Linkedin that the top Brass didn't like. The Post was harmless and got something like 40+ likes and 2 dislikes. I'm sure the dislikes were from Jay and HR! CC is lucky that Tech hiring is way down right now, they would have very few employees left!

They can tell how long you are in the office regardless of badge swipes. They know if your laptop is on and connected to the network.

I will take the heat, could care less then to be in a office for 70 that might of had 5 regulars in it. So yes I badged in might have out in a half day and the left. I did not work with anyone else in the office, so then this clearly about control. Let’s say I got what I deserved for abusing the system, well thank god I did because being laid off is the absolutely the best thing that has happened to me.

The real CC motto is you will have to walk me outta here….because the severance. So glad to be gone as clearly I was not a purple fit. Enjoy the ride hopefully you all turn that sh-t show around cause I still have stock in the company and would like to see it rebound to a respectful level.

The world is returning normal folks. I, for one, would rather have skipped the whole pandemic shitshow and everything that came along with it. Ge-z, remote work was like smoking crack for some people. Took one hit and were instantly addicted.

People didn't follow thr hybrid schedule, it's as simple as that. People would have in for an hour just to get a badge swipe and be seen, and if they got questioned claim they were at lunch. Those people are the ones who are going to make us all return 5 days a week.

Notice Jay's message about 8 hours in the office, they removed any and all flexibility because of the people who couldn't just play nice.

Like being in the office is any better. People go get coffee for 30 minutes at a time and then take a lunch and leave at 2. It's a joke. Unless they actually make people badge in AND out and even that people will still abuse it. They are punishing the people who were following the rules. If EMT had not told us over and over about the commitment to the hybrid schedule then that would have been one thing but this is all a punch to the gut.

Big brother aka the SOC in Security. All they do all day is monitor everyone and send reports when asked. Everything is logged, hence the yellow and green Teams emblems. You can be reading a PDF and the teams will go yellow to appear you are jot working.

They also commented to Directors in Directors meeting (the severence preparation meeting this week) that other countries are in the office 5 days a week. "We are willing to do 4 right now, but expect 5 days a week in 2024 to 2025." "Studies show it improves worker happiness overall." per LN.

Big Brother knows teammates slack when working at home. They also have data on all of you slackers with mouse movers. 5 days in office isn’t far behind. They are bringing us back in steps rather than fully at once. The flexibility will continue to be taken away until there is none. I’m not going to post their clever project name here, but it’s unbelievably snarky. Well played, LN.

Those that ruined it by not coming in 3 days a week should be the ones punished. The EMT is treating us like children by punishing all for the actions of a few. The EMT knows who was not coming in and/or trying to beat the system. The EMT would rather control us. I've never seen worked for a more paranoid compy. The amount of camera is staggering along with counting badge swipes. . They even locked down doors during the layoffs to secure entry points. They are paranoid and want to control the workers. They are going to lose talent really fast.

People can downvote the other comment but they're correct. We need to blame the people who couldn't bother to come in three days a week, or only came in for an hour. They did this to us.

It was already stated in the July 24th announcement it was going to 4.
Many in office I worked couldn't even come in for the 3 days. Or even barely half days on those three.

Thinking they were smarter than technology. Unfortunately ruined it for the honest people.
