HOUSTON (AP) _ Dril-Quip Inc. (DRQ) on Wednesday reported a loss of $63.4 million in its fourth quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had a loss of $1.81. Losses, adjusted for restructuring costs and non-recurring costs, were 46 cents per share.
The maker of offshore drilling and production equipment posted revenue of $77.9 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported that its loss widened to $128 million, or $3.62 per share. Revenue was reported as $322.9 million.

Like the Monarchy. Too many important people and not enough serfs. Need to lean the hierarchy and plump up the peasants. Don’t let the money trickledown. Make it a waterfall. Happy people make more money or just shut it all down. Make way for another Enron. Driven straight to the ground. Not even a slowdown.

…..that would mean that cost cutting efforts
were a failure. Some 20 years ago DQ had this much revenue and a profit.

Perhaps for employees it would be best if DQ is sold to someone who wants to run it well

That’s the future. Just ensure you find a supplier of the predicted 17 trees for 2022, that can actually machine a sub sea tree.

Leaving the non subsea sector, streamlining leadership (ie getting rid of some), footprint reduction including half of Eldridge and a move to a business unit matrix structure means that the future is less than rosy.
Get why he’s doing it to be honest though.
