Finally some common sense. You can be spreading the virus before you are symptomatic and spreading it to all co-workers without knowing it.

So far death rates are much higher than the normal flu. It's a confirmed bioweapon not just the flu or bad cold. Please think of others during this time please.

Covid 19 is unlike any virus modern humanity has dealt with, be it SARS, MERS, H1N1, Spanish Flu, HIV(was a global pandemic), Ebola etc... We currently know very little about this virus, new scientific studies come out every day and some of them US media will not show. But two things are for sure, its now in Washington state and in Snohomish County and its also spreading at a phenomenal speed and not going to stop. Please no matter your opinions or thoughts on this, wash/sanitize your hands often and keep your work areas cleaned and sanitized. I work in the Everett factory and do not want to get this and bring it home to my kids Boeing does not care about us numbers! Unfortunately have to work to keep food on our tables so the only real Pandemic Plan we have is keep ourselves and area clean, and if your sick stay home. I will be that guy that comes up to you if your coughing/sneezing uncontrollably and call out out (from 2-3 feet away) this is real and should be taken seriously. If you take some time and do your own research and not listen to the mainstream media, you might b a little more informed.

That YouTube video is completely inaccurate. Yes this is mostly the same as sars and mers. 70% of the same genetic make up. The difference is the infection rate. Sars and mers had in infection rate if you got sick you would get one other person sick. With a much higher death rate.Wasn't very contagious. They were able to stop the outbreak. With this coronavirus (covid 19) if you get sick the average infects 4 to 6 people and is asymptomatic with a 2% death rate. Time will tell how bad this will get. No one really knows. But it could be really bad. That is why all the panic. Virus have to be taken seriously. If in infect 50% of the the population that is a very high death toll. 1918 Spanish flu is very similar to the infection rate and death percentage. It is something to worry about

If you die, you will be docked pay for not showing up. Your next of kin will be required to reimburse Boeing for the expense.

Hahaha pandemic preparedness plan. Ok I'll tell you Boeing's "pandemic preparedness plan" is to make everyone come to work unless you have sick time, or you get so sick you qualify for FMLA. Boeing doesn't even care about it's customers, so it definitely doesn't care about you. Only if many people get sick, maybe they will excuse LWOPs. MAYBE. And if you recover, you will definitely have mandatory OT afterwards

I doubt one exists unless it pays a dividend to the share holders

No need to. If you work for Boeing - you’re safe. They were able to keep layoffs from happening they can do the same to a virus.

Remember, Boeing is not just a company. It is a conglomerate of greatnesses. Best aviation company in the world!
