The recent layoffs were not just layoffs. CVS is outsourcing a lot of these jobs. The news media needs to pick up on that. It isn’t enough that the government is paying for immigrants on our dime. CVS is helping by outsourcing jobs.

The way I see it h1b’s put in more effort and are not lazy. Jealousy takes you nowhere. They get to keep the jobs because they work hard. If they are not, they will be booted out anyway like anyone else. So not sure why you are grumpy about these colleagues. Have you not gone thru the discrimination training?

The hostility isn't misplaced, and the ultimate greed lies with profiteering, underskilled immigrants desperate to milk the US IT sector for every penny while simultaneously destroying it with their fabricated resumes and purchased degrees. Nobody would mind outsourcing if only one thing were true, that they were actually able to match domestic quality. They simply aren't, never will be, and it has gotten so bad that is becoming a running joke about their 8 month long tickets ending in train wrecks due to Indians that don't give one sh-t about the plight of the company. Sadder still, they're vigorously defended by their offshore to onshore management pipeline. Blame the execs my a-s, they're held hostage by entrenched incompetent IT that will happily rugpull the entire company at the drop of a hat and they're all too weak to remove the cancer.
All companies outsource and all companies have been doing it a long time, it’s nothing new. CVS reduced the number of consultants just like they did FTEs. There is no reason to disrespect the smart and fine folks from India.

The problem is the elites in the left. Lining their pockets every chance they get. Outsourcing is a huge issue. Americans should be the priority! The left just wants to handout money, jobs, housing when tax paying Americans are suffering. The left ruined the country. Look at where we are.

If you are that upset about someone else getting paid less to do the job then do it for cheaper, problem solved. CVS loves to outsource and they love to pay bottom basement prices so they can mark things up and keep excessive margins for themselves. I mean there are a PBM and cr-ppy retail store, why would we expect anything less? Helping people, even if they are immigrants (which is who built the country) is the right thing to do. Period. We should be doing more to stop greedy corporations like CVS so that people have more affordable options to care for their families. Instead you choose to point your finger at the decent thing being done instead of the greed. Sad.
