In new org structure, can directs be same C level as his/her manager or they must be one or more level lower? For example, can a C15 manager have a C15 employee reporting to him/her?

To the OP, the answer is YES. But be concerned about your job for several reasons including but not limited to the fact that you can and will be fungible. You will also be competing against your co-workers who are on your level in the same group or team. Additionally, in-seat promotion is absolutely, unequivocally ZERO, not close to ZERO, but actually ZERO 0% Percent. Why would a Director C15 promote a subordinate who's also a Director to MD ? Why would a SVP promote a SVP subordinate to Director ? Why would a SVP promote a VP subordinate to SVP ? These scenarios will NOT and NEVER happen because the Head Team Lead Manager will be out-ranked or become ranked on the same level as the subordinate. You're in a dead end job with a dead end salary and dead end future. The ONLY Way Up is OUT of Citi. Citi is getting prepped and ready for sale anyway by the year 2026.
I said three layers. C13 > C13 > C13.
And it’s very much so true. If you’re in such a situation, be concerned going fwd.
Not true @jtd+1rMEKQAZ. There are even C13s reporting to C13s. Like one poster said, explore the directory and you'll see the disfunction first hand.
This can be figured out within about 30-seconds of surfing Global Directory.
Yes.
But a C14 reporting to C14 reporting to C14 is no longer allowed. The three layers deep is a no go.
Yes. There are already MDs reporting to MDs and Ds reporting to Ds, etc.
I saw one team with a C14 managing many C14s. Maybe promotions are around the corner.
Can’t believe we have this kind of questions asked…
the answer is yes
Jane is a C16 and will manage many C16
A C15 is managing 6other C15 and that won’t change
obviously.
loads of C16s reporting into C16s right now.
Zzzzzz.
