@1kqq+1qvp9Jx5 Thanks. I will tell the new recruiter my situation and will see what they said. Also thought about gaming the system but that may cause more headaches later on. Bonus may be large amount that why I was timing my job search because I knew the new employer take up to 3 month to make their decision but it is faster than I though. I’ll make up that bonus somehow so I am not going to sweat about it if this potentially employer put me in a better space mentally.

If you receive an offer just let them know your situation. Most employers know candidates may want to wait for their hard earned bonus which for most companies payout on 3/15. They may be accommodating with your start date.

You will have to make the decision whether the payout is worth sticking around for. Of course you can always “game the system” if you want to start a new job AND secure your bonus, but that’s up to you what you are comfortable with. There’s no risk for a bad reference since they can only confirm employment verification through an automated system in the future. Coming back to CVS is another story but why would you ever want to???

I have seen many field and managers go on a mental health LOA or use vacation or mandatory sick to stretch to 3/15. Remember, you need to be active AND employed from 1/1-12/31 to earn the full payout. You only need to be employed on 3/15 to receive it.

Thanks for everyone feed back. It really help me make my decision if that offer going to happen. I will just give a normal 2 week notice instead trying to strength out and not get the bonus.

No bonus if you leave. Infact, if bonuses pay on 3.15. Resign on 3.14 - money has been sent to the bank...I had someone resign the Monday morning before bonuses paid and they pulled the bonus. r
