3 years in a row makes it an annual event. Downward spiral.

Que sera sera what ever will be will be the futures not ours to see que sera sera!
@1kpr+17g4iGgf can confirm, this is how it happened, and we had no idea why they wanted the ratings either. Affected employees were literally being informed at the same time as their manager. It was savage.
Not a manager, but from last year’s discussions, I thought the the managers basically had to rank everyone that reported them and turn the list in to the decision makers. The lower managers didn’t know if any of their people were actually going to be cut, they’d just know what the order of cutting would be when someone above decided how many.
"Does manager know who will be affected in advance?"
Of course they do. They helped put the list together.
Does manager know who will be affected in advance?
Doesn’t it seem like a bad idea to have the layoffs happen after the early retirees leave? What time is left to do some transfer of knowledge from the retirees could be completely wasted if the person receiving it is then laid off...
If you are unproductive because of all of this then that says more about you and your position than the company. If you sit around waiting to be told what to do then perhaps your job is on the line. Personally I’ve got more work than ever but if my job is cut then so be it. I’ve acquired quite a few marketable skills I’ve the past few years and am not worried one bit.
If they postpone till November, then they have to deal with a demoralized unproductive worried workforce for two more months. Will they really do that or get their things together and make a decision? Are they willing to pay for two more months where productivity is near zero? If November is the time frame then they should not have announced impending RIFs in August. Are they hinting we all should leave for greener pastures?
Coming from executive leadership team. It will happen around thanksgiving. Not tomorrow or this week.
A manager told me it is definitely not Monday. I have been assuming it would be ever since they sent out the all hands invite.
So do you think with this “transparency” push Tuesday might be “now it’s realllly about to happen” instead? And then make us wait another few weeks?
