@231 wow that’s news. But given the size of NZ market, we might be using the Aussie office to serve it.

Why is there rumor of another round of layoff ? How do we intend to deliver products, support customers, if we keep cutting off resources ? WTF is going on in the minds of ELT.

@1aq Even Teradata Investor Relations doesn’t say it’s a $2B revenue company.

Will continue more. We will play the AI game, play the stock price game and get out with the benefits. You guys will continue to suffer

A lot of layoffs this week in Australia. The management down there just keep escaping and smiling even though they are the ones who's heads should be on the chopping block

Wrong. Again. TD hasn’t been a $2 billion company in years. It’s now about $1.5 billion and dropping. It’s why they don’t put the value on news releases anymore. Vantage guy is a lot like SM. Just uses outdated numbers and hope no one fact checks them. Outdated, just like our technology and the engineers who work on Vantage.

@1af I'm not trying to be funny my friend, I just want you to take a minute pause and smell the coffee. There feeling better? Back to reality? If you have some common sense you'd realize TD is a 2 billion dollar company and is doing absolutely fine

Easy to see why Teradata is spiraling downward: incompetent leadership and inept engineers. Anyone who has spent seven years working on Vantage should be fired immediately, with zero severance or sympathy.
Anyone who actually thinks this company is heading in the right direction with zero new logos, declining revenues and constant layoffs, and thinks this is normal or the sign of a healthy company is either delusional, bootlicking, or thinks the comments are funny because we all know Vantage is a joke.

@1a4 You're being a child fear mongering those who are actually doing their jobs. Get your act together and put down your iPad get off this forum and start doing your job. If you don't like it here go and ask for a severance package and get out

@1a2 lets see how things proceed. You will feel it, probably a bit later. The reasons given for layoffs are getting outrageous.

Just wait until the end of October and then around Christmas time. October layoff is when new sales loaded in Q3 don’t materialise, Christmas time is when new 2025 sales heavily loaded in H2 slip to 2026 and the rate of cancellations/erosions in Q1 2026 is higher than forecasted a year ago.

@ea some of the best minds are with us. However, the middle management needs a trim, there are more people blocking progress than delivering on commitments.

@e4 Oh, no! Not engineering! Posters have said everything in engineering is wonderful! 😄

@cp there was impact albeit small. Given the changes in engineering leadership it is reasonable to assume more changes to come (“new blood” etc).

GSIH dropped near 80 people. Consulting globally similar number. Few in GTM.

And after this week of layoffs, they will be touting greatness at Possible next week. SM will take zero responsibility for the layoffs, which have happened two or three times a year since he arrived! Layoffs are not the sign of a healthy company. Wonder if they will hold raises for 8 months again?

@aa if you’re not worried you’re blind and deaf. Layoffs are not “normal” not desired in healthy, growing companies. Especially multiple vps.

@b9 you must be the same plant that posted how td is “crushing it”. Nobody blames her alone but jeebus what a set of cronies she brought in while letting real talent leave. If they were good they wouldn’t be getting let go like her.

man JW really lives rent-free in everyone's head. you guys still trying to blame the marketing team for this company failing?

@an but JW still prevails

Sounds like 4 VPs in Marketing dropped yesterday/today. The last of JW’s hand-picked and absurdly-protected-and-promoted hires.
