It’s not fair. But it happens. Every company develops a reputation. Which gets applied to all its employees regardless of warranted or not. Same is true in other fields like finance or fashion, etc. And unfortunately for us Intels reputation was or has been the cocky douchbag. And now that we are down on our luck the others are piling on. So at the moment having Intel on your resume is like having the scarlet letter on it. Will it be like that forever? Hopefully not. But it will be for interim future.

Isn’t it up to interviewers to find out if a person can be hired or not? rejecting a candidate just because the person is from certain companies does not sound right.

Ah doesn’t work like that. While you aren’t wrong it’s not how rest of world sees it. They see bad product that was ENGINEERED. So why hire an engineer from failed work to just posion your own work. Dont get confused Intel doing so poorly has a broad paint stroke that has colored us all as untouchable.

MSFT has blackballed Intel employees, I think. I've applied for 4 different positions over the last two quarters and they all got rejected within a day of application.

If you are technical with relevant skills - yes. If you are a PowerPoint ego ladder climber no

Other companies will not "ban" Intel employees. The competitors know most of Intel failures result from poor leadership. Other semi companies will evaluate each person based on their record. GLTA.

Yeah, lots from Israel. Can confirm. Its total bs to suggest another company banned any recruitment from Intel.
