I have seen post after post complaining about OXY. OXY has been a good company who has cared about their employees for many years. No company is perfect but OXY has been a very generous and caring company throughout this economic and COVID crisis. I am just an employee, not a member of HR or management. Maybe we should all be grateful that we all have jobs.

Yes stop the testing and the app AND the days off for shot takers. Isn't the special day off breaking a HIPA law? Many also haven't taken the shot and are fine with not wearing face decoration and being around others but would still rather work from home because then we have energy to do the work needed for Oxy instead of doing the daily grind because we are not lucky enough to live close to the office. We even collaborate with more people via teams juggling multiple conversations at once but in person it's just a slow one at a time conversation or many talking in a meeting halfway out the hallway of an office and lots of content is lost because not everything is heard but you think it is.
It is all about the money. If they pay you enough money you can be a corporate wh--e.
The truth is Oxy is a great company until its inconvenient to be a great company. They treat employees great because employees don't have as much of a say of where they go or what they end up doing. At an enterprise level Oxy is "caring" but at the heart of it, it's just business and you're just a cog. Enjoy the cog life while you have it though, and hope you're not a woman. It definitely is beneficial to be a man there.
@1kaf+1fwtYEDE Thank you, and I am 100% with you. Time to stop the check into work app, and take off masks. It has went on too long, and for us to get back to normal the sooner both are dropped the better. All the people that want to wear a mask should feel free to from now until the end of time. Now that schools are dropping masks then everyone should. When I voted today at an elementary school no one had a mask on. People in diners and all out in society don't have masks on. It for sure is the minority that wear masks now, and it is time for the majority to get their way. If the mask wearers are scared I am all for having them work from home. Whatever makes them feel safe is fine with me, but I have been vaccinated three times and will take my chances at work.
I mean Oxy is really a cr-p place to work. Many left and so should you.
Do you know what I'm tired of? The Daily COVID-19 Check-In charade. This is something cooked up by Legal to protect the company from liability, not to protect employees from COVID. Time to drop the pretense.
Also, even the CDC admits cloth masks are just facial decorations when it comes to protection from Omicron. Time to stop this nonsense too.
Its called Wikipedia, direct experience, witnessing the systemic bigotry and bullying, the lack of accountability, the example after example starting with Piper Alpha and going right up to the current clown show and looking at the facts and reputation of the company.
Don't keep hiding from what you people are or denying facts. That's a cowards game. That just makes you look even worse.
