Why would anyone apply for a job at the worst company in America to work for? Just common sense.
I left a year ago for good reasons and have steadily watched the e-mails floods my inbox with jobs for Union Pacific. I just laugh, drink my coffee, and grin that I’m not there anymore doing their dirty work.

Plus, the new "training program" is terrible, cut down to 1/2 the time and very disorganized.
These new hires are not going to be ready to work safely.
How do they have full class rosters? The jobs have just been posted. Most of these job postings aren’t even that type of large class hire anyway. I do agree they will get some type of applicant to apply though. Probably not what they were expecting but what they deserve.
Sorry to tell you this, but their are plenty of applicants. HR has full class rosters. Their are many people that don’t go by Glassdoor reviews. They are making a big mistake if they are looking for a career as UP will lay them off in a heartbeat. I guess if their is nothing else where you live this might serve as a stopgap until something else comes up.
I wonder why nobody is applying is it because the company leaders are talking about one man crews? Only a fool would waste their time at this company now. This LF really wants one man crews so I guess until it happens it’s going to be a s—t show. Young guys in my area are quitting left and right they see the writing on the wall.
