Is there such a thing as a safe position at Accenture right now? The layoffs in the past several months made very little sense to me considering the people who were let go. It was all over the place - from people with high pay and most experience to people who were with the company for less than a year. Makes me think that whoever is making the decision on who to lay off is not really getting input from any of the managers. Which doesn't bode well for any of us...

My husband was a high performer highly chargeable and just found out he was let go . Layoffs are all over the place nobody is safe. 25,000 jobs cut and I’m hearing another 25,000 by December
Layoff made no sense. High performing people on long term projects were laid off .. people working less than i had good reviews but was unable to get a project after COVID19. Of course what can we do in finding a project when Managing Directors won't even help? they won't even answer emails or accept meetings with us.. where exactly do you find a project when management is useless
If you are in consulting and staffed on a long term project and the client loves you - you are safe. Everyone else has a problem.
In Corporate Ameriica, NOBODY outside of the C-Suite is "safe." Period.
@1jlb, not correct!. We have seen high performers with good chargeability and being on project were let go. There is no logic or good explanation as it was said here. It's all nonsense...
Are you staffed currently? If yes you ate safe
Yes, it's called Rank & Yank. If you're unlucky to work in a department with few employees, even a rock star can end up at the bottom, and poof, you're gone.
"It's the algorithm" is all they will say.
