Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Feedback please ! Interviewed for LL5 in Vehicle Hardware few weeks ago...

Interviewed for LL5 in Vehicle Hardware for Exteriors. Interview went well and expecting offer. Have stable job, but lower paying.

Please provide HONEST advice that would help me make my decision. Overall, based on the questions I asked got the feel during the interview that Collaboration was lacking, Old boys clubs who hinder forward progress, lack of collaboration with cross-functional teams (eg: Quality).

Please advise. Details would be appreciated. How is the real culture ? Are people working against each other? Any other risks ?

@1jje+1ul8F1ZA - tell me which location and I'll tell you the culture. Location DOES matter.

There are some (few) reasonable/technical LL4s that are good leaders, but there are also jerks out there. If you're smart and willing to work through the BS, you'll do fine. Good luck.

If you were a GS, I agree with the other posts about location being important. But you are asking about LL5. Before we answer your question, you need to provide an answer to this detail: who do you know at Ford that is LL4+? If you do not have connections above you, then you need to put on knee pads and start wetting your lips. If you do have connections, don't worry and hit resume on Netflix. Enjoy your day.

Looking on this website for information on company culture is a waste of time. The people that post here are butt hurt old boomers that couldn’t cut it as a real engineer and have just been pushing paperwork for 30 years and come here to cry about it.

If the person you are goin to be workin for is Suzan** Gutter and Chuck E. Cheese it’s going to be a sh-t job, Suza*** is one of the most incompetent id--ts I had to work for, fortunately I don’t work here anymore. Chuck wouldn’t be able to handle a drive through let alone a publicly traded company.
