The strategy group is rubbish. A bunch of very toxic ppl who are there to spew bs and work with consultants. KC is completely impotent. The chief science office is none other than our gluten free muffin baking, galavanting from film festival to festival jayshree. Another useless manager who is now looking for her next stint as pr princess. Ba-f.
She is 'strategy', not science. The 'Strategy' group is basically where are the MBAs go to make the 100 slide powerpoints that say nothing useful.

I can (and do) throw a lot of insults at 3M, but uneducated technical staff isn't one of them.
@mdq... yes, it takes more than good looks and charm. Others have used this formula. You need to talk really fast, string together a bunch a buzzwords, action failure modes over a decade late, and end your verbal comments with the word /question "right?"
Our chief science officer does not have a technical degree. Good looks and charm are not enough these days to turn us around.

When a company is in a cash crunch, safety and quality are the first departments to go.
Just goes to show if you manage safety through games, gimmicks, circus like events, programs and slogans, just stick to the classics like "Safey First".
