Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

I had a convo yesterday in which I was explaining my experience with a couple of BPX managers recently. The other person told me to come look at this thread. Talk about major validation from my gut feelings about these people. Wow. Just wow. Couldn't pay me to work there.

I ran into a few of these Bpx "leaders" about 2 years ago at URTEC. I was sitting with a friend who works over there. I watched their Permian people mouth off and act immature for about 30 minutes. This one lady was pretty annoying and had a lot to say about the employees working for her. They seem pretty unpleasant to work with.

They have a bad reputation in our industry. I concur with this person's recent observation about them. I didn't see them at URTEC this last time because I made it a point to keep away from them. My friend no longer works there. He went to OXY and seems so much happier.

I was there and watched them mouth off and act immature also. Nothing is going to change. They are always like this. Those of us who know the situation just stay away from them.

Keep it in the back of your mind if any of them show up looking for a job at your company. Keep in mind some Bpx people aren't bad and are just trying to get away from it.

I was just told about this thread and omg. I'm glad I came to see it.

So many people are fed up with this stuff. Why the heck do you think all our top talent has left?

People are sick and tired of you guys. Somebody please fire these people so we can pull tbe poison out and start moving in a different direction.

I've been there in past years at URTEC and other events and witnessed this kind of stuff. When I reported them I was retaliated against and told that I perceived it wrong. The main person doing it has since been promoted multiple times. I happen to know first hand that she has been reported by others as well.

Nothing gets done about it. I dont think the person who wrote this is out of line. I've witnessed it.

Really unfortunate and disappointing. My advice is to stay away from these people until you can make a move to get away.

@1jfm+1taablQX is one of the bottom feeders who is part of the problems. Don't be fooled by their pious response. What you witnessed happens all the time here. It's bad.

One of the many reasons this place gets a bad rep.

Don't worry about this person's rediculous arrogant comments. If they knew any better they'd know that, when you report these people, nothing happens.

This is why its not good working here. I experience it every day.

I don't work there. Therefore, I have noone to report to.

IF what you say is true and you know who this person is it is your obligation to report them to Ethics or Integrity. Not doing so makes you complicit and just as guilty of unprofessional conduct. If you choose to spew here for effect or selfish egotism alone, you are no better than the rest of the bottom feeders who run this company down.
