Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

I left a few years ago once the acquisition was announced. I’ve learned the hard way that when a big company buys a smaller one, the smaller company usually gets swallowed up.

A newly former exec told me there are supposed to be four rounds of RIFs this year—which is exactly what I was told back in December. Honestly, it lines up perfectly with what I was warned about when I left and even with the offer and timeline they gave me to stay.

If you noticed, even in the past 30 days of the higher up employees (VP and Exec's), have left. If you need more 'writing on the wall', then I don't know what to tell you.

@3bb Valid point. Consider that ex Juniper organization did not do much before Mist, did not do much after Mist acquisition, and will continue to do not much now under HPE. Have seen Mist SEs hustle. 15+ year legacy Juniper SE managers and SEs (especially "Enterprise")? Stop, just stop, OK?

Half of HPE profits are to come from networking, i.e. juniper gear. So the real question is what have HPE SEs been doing?

Low quota low margin all hat no cattle Houston tech wannabe thumbsuckers, us what we got there.

@27e What did Juniper even sell before Mist?

It seems like all the JNPR pre-Mist SE org is just waiting for a big layoff. Can only go so far just knowing the legacy JNPR portfolio. Stand up and be recognized.

@25z I notice this. As HPE, seeing Juniper come in to my accounts has been insult. SEMs are being ignorant.

The problem that I have noticed: a lot of longtime (15 years +) SE managers from Juniper that aren't exactly doing much. Not much going on there for years.

@12b Let's just let him be quiet; seems to have calmed down with the "everything Gartner all day all the time" routine.

Worst leader of all time. I think there is a lawsuit against him. Google it. This is who HPE hires? Makes you loose all hope….. immediately. In the end customers will suffer as no one with talent will want to be in line.
