Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Walmart is TOXIC.

Management treats employees like trash. Walmart doesn’t value loyalty and everyone is just a number. Year after year they just take more from employees. Come up with ridiculous bu-----t scheduling to get people out the door. A 15 year associate was all days now doing 1-10 yet we were told it goes by seniority the new scheduling but 15 year associate doing nights after being on days. Walmart will work you to death. Two people died at my store, heart attacks within short period of time could be from the stress they inflict on their employees. If you are still there start looking elsewhere because Walmart will find a way to either fire you or make you leave on your own. They don’t want long term full time employees or to pay benefits. Awful place.

OP is @kuw+1b7GNsbi, an on point post.

For everyone feeling trapped, I was there for almost 5 years (I'm in a little podunk town) and I felt hopeless. I saw a couple older employees pass away on the job (horrible) from heart attacks, etc. and I knew I didn't want that to be me later on down the road. I'm sure every store is different, but our management group was extremely toxic -- they would all huddle in the back and feed off of each other and the negativity. Employees were in tears everyday -- and I just couldn't do it anymore. I finally found something else -- and couldn't be happier. There are other options out there! I'm 63 by the way -- so don't let this place eat your soul.
