@1iiv+1tRdSXcr is correct in severance. multiple people have received the same this go around. previously ones were much more generous.
this will continue to get worse and worse. the goal of 70-80K total headcount. Dell is definitely on its last legs.
what about RSUs? do they grant them or a portion of them?
Make sure you are applying for Unemployment. You will get it!
Post from TheLayoff.com This is entirely unconfirmed and you heard this from nothing but a rumor mill
I was hit today. It's 2 months plus a week per year served, but there is a limit of 26 weeks of pay. That includes the 8 weeks they give you at the start. So if you worked there more than 18 years, you don't get any more due to time served. I've heard from others there wasn't a cap last round, so this is the start of less than expected severance packages.
They also gave me part of my bonus. Based on the number, it was 75% of the bonus target based on the money I had earned so far this FY.
1 week for every year plus 2 months pay
Did those that get let go get the industry standard 2 weeks for every year of service?
This is supposed to be the last time the current severance will be used. Next event or next year it will change to less than the current severance package. At least that is what I heard but all the execs get 100% vesting of all options this time around
The company has a corporate standard severance. This doesn't have to be asked a billion times every WFR. It's on inside
