CVS has 300k employees but the vast majority are immune to these layoffs.
How many are getting targeted?

Almost 60k for the PBM
Spoke to a director today. He said it's 50k employees who will be targeted by the layoffs.
After the 6 rounds of layoffs there will be 2,000 left.
If by "corporate" we mean people who don't work in the stores/warehouses, then there are a lot more people than a lot of you realize.
When CVS bought Aetna, Aetna had around 50,000 employees. When they bought Caremark, they had around 13,000. Oakstreet had like 5,000.
Then there are others. And Aetna has grown since then. I would easily say 100,000 or more.
@1iip+1nVVjsbQ Yes, Aetna had corporate employees and after the merger, those corporate employees are now CVS corporate.
So many conflicting numbers 😂.
MySuccess has the org view with all the counts and title at every level (and this excludes contractors). Can some analyst work their magic?
DDAT alone is 12k+. I’m certain corporate is significantly more than 50k. May be close to 80k.
100k
In a news release, CVS said it expected the restructuring program to be “substantially complete by the end of 2023.” But neither Ly--h nor the other executives who participated in the earnings call discussed how many positions would be eliminated at Aetna.
Does anyone know if Aetna is considered "corporate"?
My Director said total Corporate employees should be about 50k. So it’s 10% cut and this is painful.
