Micron just reported demand for DRAM and NAND have dropped off a cliff. What happens to Seagate HDD when deeply discounted SSD drives start flooding the enterprise and CSP buyers? You know the answer. More layoffs!

Seagate is the Titanic of Hard Drive manufactures, only thing they don't have is a band.
But.....Seagate Springtown has a choir, and what is embarrassing about it is that they think they are good and the big mistake is that they think all the other employees want to listen to them.WE DONT.

Organizations perform exactly the way they are built. Seagate executive management has performed exceptionally poor over the last 3-5 years, amazing that they haven't gone chapter 11 or been acquired prior to this date. How could an industry leader fail so badly at SSD? Seagate should have gone with internal hard drive storage experts instead of bringing in an outside team that failed at a spectacular level, instead of leading the industry now you have to worry about going under, or perhaps it will be your turn to be laid off.

They should layoff IT in Tech hub at Fremont site. The quality of service we get when we have computer issues had gone low since Cupertino IT took over not able to get help when needed on critical project, they want me to call helpdesk which causes more frustration.

I've survived about 15 layoffs now. I've outlasted multiple entire management chains above me who are all gone. The vast majority of people I worked for and was lorded over by are gone. Most by layoff. The vast majority of people I worked with are long gone. It's a weird place to be in now. So quiet now. Lone survivor vibes. I thought I might not survive this one but I did. Next one might be it. Anyway, working here has been a really odd experience with people just disappearing one after another in clumps every few years. In between, new clumps of people would be added and then mostly disappear later on. I didn't think I'd be around to watch how the company finally ends but I think it might be sooner than we think.

How about 3000 cut in this year? Still in progress?
Waiting for the completion with a significant cut in the China factory?
