I still don't understand why human resources needs a hierarchy that culminates in an executive level position.
She's nothing like the people that have been let go. She's going to walk out with a boatload of money and stock. Even if the stock is cr-p now, it's more than most of us get.
Executive replacements never get less money. You get the Boeing DEI lady for 2x the price now. We all know how that went for BA and the passengers that fly their planes.
What value did she add to CVS? Sure she must have bailed out with a golden parachute. But don’t understand what is value in firing her. Unless her replacement came to work for much less money.

Yes, she was fired today. Her replacement has already been hired, so it was obviously pre-planned for a while now. Same with Brian Kane, his replacement was announced a couple of days after he was canned. This has been in the works for quite a while. It takes MONTHS to interview people, get the board's approval, make offers, and get people started, especially at the executive suite level.
Was she thrown out?
