Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

HealthNet (Centene) in Southern California....pending layoffs?

I recently accepted an offer with Centene....training to start Jan 4th. Its supposed to be WFH. I'm nervous that they will play bait and switch for RTO? What does
longevity look like in SoCal with Centene?

I have another job offer with a local hospital that I used to work at years ago. Only left due to family issues at the time. Hybrid position.

Should I decline the hospital offer and stay with Centene? Thoughts?

I love working for centene, honestly this is the best job I’ve ever had. My team is amazing. Perm work from home, large bonus coming half in Feb and half in June. I look forward to going to work everyday. No joke! — Ohio

Do not work at centene. Most everyone has been laid off in So Cal. If you value your mental health, dont go. I just retired after 10 yrs here. I have never seen such mo--ns in management, and I am a professional.
Run, fast. I am very happy now.

Take the job at the hospital. Centene is known for not being very transparent, so FT WFH may come with strings attached.

Thank you all. My hunch was to go back to my local hospital. I was only enticed by Centene due to WFH, but it may not be worth the trade off. Appreciate your feedback

Keep in mind most of us that lurk around this forum are not so happy at Centene. It's like shooting fish in a barrel if you're looking for negative opinions.

I agree with the person stating if you were happy at the hospital first go around, to go there. NO security at Centene

if you were happy at the hospital, absolutely go there. CNC will be stress the day you start.

Honestly, it’s whatever works best for you. It’s always a cr-p game with Centene. I would rather be with a company that I didn’t have to ask this question. Best of luck to you.
