Last time I saw this was before the big layoff in 2023. Buckle up.

@1hq Agreed! Qualcomm loves its employees, it would never lay them off! Qualcomm is an American company that takes pride in employing Americans. The stock price is just a bit goofy right now but it’s all part of Cristiano’s master plan.
Laying people off would be so rude, and Cristiano isn’t like that.
@1gx If you haven't heard, your networking skills need to be brushed up
There are no layoffs. Just rumours by bitter ex employees
Where is the confirmation of the layoffs
Layoffs confirmed. Good luck to all. Get out while the getting is good
So the package is quite good, but it's not offered to everyone across the company. There will be a pretty significant layoff coming up next month w/ specific target certain folks had shared, once they go thru the VTAP list to see if they have enough. They are going to replace headcount offshore - so continue to spiral down using these band-aids (if you can even call that). When have we ever seen a US based corporation succeed simply by moving most of the roles to India, in absence of strong leadership and innovation? Never.
@dx Totally! The stock is doing great and Qualcomm loves its employees. No one is getting laid off.
@kx 24 people in the company’s largest division?? That’s not VTAP. VTAP is much larger.
@ct QCT , 24 people got the notice … some got notices for early retirement
@dv someone’s making stuff up…
@dc The same as the regular package: 2 months salary, plus 2 weeks for every year at QC. Cobra for 90 days. Six months of transitional service.
Sr Directors and above get additional bonuses.
The division was QPOET. VTAP is standard layoff package plus The Complete Works of Robert Frost.
@OP What's the VTAP package this time around? Does anyone know (vs regular package)?
This is eerily like Canada's MAID program.
Which division got it ?
¡Viva QCTJ! Lo siento, San Diego. Les quitamos sus trabajos....
¡Olé!
Independence from Qualcomm..
@ck it’s only a single division that did this. Not company wide. IMHO it’s a much more humane way of doing a RIF. Let the people go who want to go.
Didn't get it, do all employees get it? Today is the company holiday, what would they do that TODAY?!
Yes, I got 2 of them!
