Thread regarding Crown Castle International Corp. layoffs

Here's what JB is telling us is going to save the company:

Spend millions and millions in severance, unemployment benefits and relocation costs, have double staffing during the transition period and rent 2 new buildings in Houston - just to close 2 buildings in Washington County, PA that will be difficult to sell/lease. I guess I'm just not as smart as those Texans.

Perfectly stated, @zat+1pQR5eon.

You absolutely do get unemployment. It's slightly less but you do get it.

If you get a severance you will not get unemployment. The trick is the company has 2 options. They pay 2 years unemployment insurance after separation or they pay a severance. Severance is cheaper. This is the case with 38 states. The exceptions are California and Hawaii. FYI

Ugh..... reposting an old post is even more lame than posting about old news. Why even bother?

JB never said that plan was going to save Crown. In fact, JB never thought Crown needed saving in the first place. He and all of the Kool aid drinkers thought and still to this day think everything is just fine.
