Do you think our leaders at Oxy care about details or even empower others?

Think about how small details can cause huge catastrophies in our industry.

Letting details slide is how VH handles her company and that is why we are in this mess. Its not like a huge amount of debt is a small detail bit really she must have missed something because even with stable oil prices the acquisition was not a backed with good due diligence data.

Fast forward to OCT 2020... VH and her crew worked on a spin message to send out about BJ retiring. Yet... CpChem throws out a press release about him joining no less than 24 hours later.

But guess what... VH was so worried about the spin, she forgot the details. It is ~10 days later, after the CPChem announcement, and he is still listed in the management bios on the Oxy website. Something that takes 2 minutes to edit and yet we are still wondering why Oxy had a hard time integrating anything from LAPC. Its a top down problem.

Thank goodness I got my Oxy divended just now.... I can now buy 30 lotto tickets that have just about the same odds at success that Oxy has.

VH... I know you are reading this.... please do us a favor and let someone else run this company. Its already running into the ground, get out now and you might save some face.

Hilarious about BJ still being president of OxyChem on the Oxy site. I had to see for myself and sure enough, it is still there. Shows you how important OxyChem and Neil are to Oxy. Suppose John Lennon and Black Panther are bigger priorities,

Why would you ever want to work for a company that doesn’t weed out poor performers and incompetent people who never should have been hired. After awhile the environment turns toxic.

OXY are the laughing stock of the oil patch and deserve to go C11
Instead of working on plans to maximise returns from our assets and get best value on divestitures we are f—ing about with EOY personal assessments knowing full well there are no compensation or rewards being planned

Details. what about NO word of 9/11 remembrance. We get instead an stupid memo of her rosy fantasy while listening to The Beatles’ Imagine communist song. Civil unrest going on, cities on fire and it takes a week or more for her to condemn racism and share her view.
Details about how she handles the company? easy. No planning. All about “Sense or Urgency” and appears as if something is being done. what about another reorg just 6 months after! Not productive. why dont she gets measured by the same BAR system we all have to abode to now?
