New layoffs are in process for Quarter end September 2020. People are in process of being told.
Allscripts is said to be restructuring and creating business models more realistic to what the market wants.

'PeteWerewolf' describes the typical scenario used by executives these days. Disney held their developers captive, preventing them from getting severence until they trained unskilled Indian laborers. This is corporate behavior that the Trump administration was supposed to put an end to by changing the misuse of H1B, so American corporations just started moving code bases fully into India. Which is why LK described it as the 'heart of Allscripts' during one of her joke-of-a-meetings.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.computerworld.com/article/3149535/disney-it-workers-in-lawsuit-claim-discrimination-against-americans.amp.html

On top of this, we're telling our kids to focus on developing their tech skills. Presumably so that they can train the next batch of Indians? What a farce.

'Global associates' ?
F off.

It's that kind of statement that has been used by management to jerk around the qualified domestic associates who have put in years of hard work to create viable products that customers thought were worth purchasing. Products that will now become garbage because the dear 'global associates' have absolutely no knowledge of how to write good code nor what business rules are important to not k–l client patients.

Please don’t blame our global associates. They have no Corp policy input.

Since I mentioned this coming back with an update, nothing exciting on the FMH/HG call. Haven't heard of any cuts today.

“...Get to work until November?” Nope, I am forced to work until November training my replacement or else no severance. Extremely demeaning. I feel caged.

Allsh_ _s is quietly liquidating. Consultants have given their final verdict on viability. The days of our leadership in this industry are gone.

Sunrise could be sold, if Allscripts plans to enter into a new domain - blood test devices.

They will not sell sunrise. Everything else will go, but sunrise will be kept

@2pwo+16Bt5Ra8: you're 100% correct. The only reason LK has kept the North American staff that she has is that the remainders can train the Indians who will be given the currently American jobs. One has to wonder how our current customers will react to the resulting loss of application quality. There's been a persistent pattern of corporations doing this kind of thing but then having to backtrack after customer complaints about quality loss that some executives choose to ignore because they're looking at numbers on a spreadsheet rather than using the applications their employees domestic employees have created. It seems like they're setting things up for a major yard sale, where PB and LK can profit and sale through on their parachutes.
Kind of reminiscent of the film 'Wallstreet'.

We still have standalone APM (Allscripts Practice Management) customers, and customers using APM with ProEHR, as well as using APM with Touchworks. Additionally, we still have Vision and Tiger practice management customers that pay maintenance every month with little in return. Would be interesting to know what the plans for all of these customers might be.

if Allscripts sells Sunrise, what do they have left to make money from?! All that's left is the TouchWorks base and ???

I have a feeling they are just slowly liquidating their assets and dissolving while simultaneously slimming down to a boutique that does a handful of things rather than compete within the EMR space. Sort of like a venture capital company full of startups. It would make much more sense than continuing on the path they are on now which is no new sales of their 'flagship' EMRs while trying to make it all work.

Seems like it would make sense for Hyland to pick up SCM.

Hyland is a proud ECM partner of Epic. It would be at an "brilliant" move on their part to acquire Sunrise for the 70 customers and compete/ piss off Epic. But you never know...

Yay! Time for thousands of Hyland domestic peeps to lose their jobs and for LK to move it to India.

Allscripts sold OneContent (product acquired from McKesson) to Hyland in 2018 but I have seen nothing about Sunrise Clinical Manager (an Eclipsys product) being sold to Hyland. Is there some factual basis for this comment or question?

Not sure about other groups but Paragon Development was significanly impacted this week. 75 to 80 percent of the NA resources where informed that their positions have been eliminated. Some immediately and others get to work until November (I think). when it is all said and done there be less than a dozen Paragon Development resources in NA.

@1gte+16Bt5Ra8: 'time to rise up'? For employees who have dedicated a good portion of their working lives to creating good products for paying hospitals. Now our 'genius' executives see fit to jerk around the trust given them by our customers as long as the money keeps flowing into PB and LKs pockets. It's really the worst kind of corporate mismanagement. Unconscionable, really.

ALM. ALM. ALM!

LK has her knee on Allscripts USA employees. Time to rise up...stop pretending your esential.. crawl out of the comfort hole. Find a new job...take vacation and never come back to work. But why in the heck would you want that incompetent twit to have any control in your life.

@epv+16Bt5Ra8: Domestic Paragon (Charlotte, Alpharetta, anything ending in USA) will be gone. This is what LK meant when she said that India is the heart beat of Allscripts. Clearly she's never tried fixing code written by these 'hearts' with atheroscler-t-c disease, or just stupidity.

But have no doubt: Paul will ensure she gets a massive bonus anyway.
