What was ES doing besides wasting money on shiny new toys?

Nothing, that is why CA could not grow. Stock price flat. CEO after CEO tried, but failed. Aymen and his predecessor tried hard to polish the tu-d. But it was hopeless.

Anything is possible. At any time. Probably the biggest concern to BroadCON people is that Tan-Tom haven't found additional whores to pi-p. Valuations are too high. So margin growth can only come from one source. as tech valuations drop thru the year, something might come up as the market should be down at least 15-20% by december. so sell them RSU's on vest baby

Broadcom software is a train wreck in slow motion.

Octane bought CA only for mainframe revenue... now they raising prices and angering customers. He does that with every acquisition... makes great margins for a few years until customers leave... by then he gets more companies and does the same... sells off anything that doesn't make money

The model is ruthless but it works.. watch him go for servicenow or atlassian next

I dont know anything bout Symantec but in CA, the mainframe products generated 85% of revenue compared to enterprise... mainframe had just over 1000 people and whole CA had 14000 at one point.

What was ES doing besides wasting money on shiny new toys? Broadcom counts every penny and evaluates what every worker provides to the bottom line. If you a drain you gone and never see all the RSUs

It's mostly the PSE's and above who are going to get the letter this time. They have being massively overpaid and HT realizes you can easily rehire 2-3 engineers in place of 1 of them

Very few will get last the full distance. That's one of the reasons for the regular layoffs and rehires.

Nope, probably won't happen. Where is that watercooler? Who's saying it? Can you give more info, maybe a schedule? Probably not. Don't get me wrong, ITC is in and of itself a university course on "how to be busy without producing value" but if Daddy H and Uncle T want to cut costs they can go for juicier targets than ITC.

And yet the managers keep sticking around and get promoted.
